One- Step Coconut Oil Hair Mask (Video)

How many times have you wanted to do a simple DIY hair mask, but you just didn't have the patience to look up a decent recipe on Pinterest or round up a million supplies?

Here's a simple, one ingredient guide to a hair mask that will moisturize your hair, while also making it bouncy, frizz-free, and shiny! I used the Cocooil coconut oil as my one-step solution to my dry, frizzy hair. I kept on a mask of this stuff for 20 minutes, washed it out with shampoo, and let my hair dry overnight. I loved the results!

First off, my hair looked so clean the next morning, I didn't even want to try styling it. I also have never seen my waves look more naturally bouncy and shiny! I am so happy with the results from this mask that I'm considering doing it a couple of times a month to keep my hair hydrated and looking healthy.

Cocooil runs for $29.99 on

You can also use this product as a light sunscreen (has SPF 15 in it) or a body moisturizer for dry skin.

Experiment and see what works best for you!

*Things to Consider & Other Tips*

-Like most oils, too much of it can result in super greasy hair. Make sure you are washing your hair thoroughly with shampoo and rinsing!
-You don't have to use this specific brand of coconut oil to get the same results! You can even use coconut oil that is not in a liquid form, heat it up in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds, and then apply to your hair! Just make sure you don't have any clumps left once you microwave because clumps will stay in your hair and give you spots of grease!
-There are other hair masks you can do with coconut oil, but this is the most basic technique to try for beautiful hair! You can find more DIY on my Pinterest page:
