#WCW Style Inspiration: Kassie Bryant
How would you describe your style?
Eclectic and comfortable. I love so many different things. Bell bottoms, overalls, chucks, platforms, cardigans… what’s not to love?!
What are your staple items? Is there something that you couldn't live without?
Hmmm. Flowy dresses, blazers, v neck tees. I couldn’t live without a v neck. I wear a good v neck like twice a week.
When you wake up in the morning, how do you decide what you're going to wear?
Depends on how long I overslept and whether or not I have shaved my legs. JK ;) I have to decide based on how many of my jobs I am working that day. What’s the weather, do I have errands, any scheduled meetings or events? So many things.
Are there any inspirations for your style?
I find myself following lots of West Coast shops on Instagram. Beachy and bohemian looks draw me in. I love something comfy and effortless.
What do you feel most comfortable wearing?
A flowy off the shoulder top and something with a high heel. I have an off the shoulder, oversized sweater from Fabrik here in Greenville that is currently in heavy circulation. It’s thin and great for this confusing weather. And I am a whopping 5’4” so I own a fair amount of platforms.
What are your favorite brands/stores?
I love Novella Royale bells. Gianni Bini and Nine West are my go to shoes because they seem to fit the best. I can rock them to work or out and not feel the need to carry flats in my bag. And of course I love a good steal at TJ Maxx.
What accessories do you always seem to pair with your outfits? (watches, etc.)
Earrings and rings. I have a solid collection of jewelry handmade here in Greenville. The earrings in the pics are from this lady that used to frequent a bar I worked in and the silver bangle is from Lily Pottery.
What advice do you have for other girls that would like to achieve a similar style?
Go for something versatile. I have lots of pieces I can pair with flats or heels, and change my attitude from frumpy to fabulous. Attitude is a statement piece in itself.
How does your style change throughout the year?
I do give in to trends, so there’s that. It's more like, how it doesn’t change. I love the way a coat looks but hate to lug one around when I go from hot to cold in the mild weather of good ol SC. I almost never wear a coat.
Do you have any style icons?
Gonna have to go with Bianca Jagger. We both have a love for high waisted pants and flowy things.
Is there a favorite color that you always end up incorporating into your outfit? (i.e. you always end up wearing a lot of black or blue)
Somehow I wear a ton of gray. I think because I can pair it with just about anything.
If we could go through your family photos and see a photo documentary of your style phases, which style phase would be the most embarrassing? We’ve all had them!
When I was in the 6th grade I went through my moms clothes and went to school dressed like a mom. Straight leg light denim, tucked in long sleeve guess t shirt, and my first pair of nikes ever. They were all white… like your grandpa wears. So, so bad.
